Materials Needed: 
2.5 ounces black Caron SS (A)
2.5 oz gray heather Caron SS (B)
Hooks in size I, H, and G
Tapestry Needle
4 stitch markers

Stitches Used: 
Single Crochet... SC
Half Double Crochet... HDC
Double Crochet...DC
Slip Stitch...SlSt
Back Loop Only... BLO

Pattern:
With (A) and I hook Ch4. Join with a SlSt to form a circle.

Round 1- Ch1. Crocheting over tail, 3 SC, 3 HDC, 3DC, 3HDC all in circle. Join with a SlSt to the 1st SC.

Rounds 2-13 are crocheted BLO.

Round 2- Pulling (B) through to ch 3 (counts as DC), DC in same. 2 DC in next 2 SC. 2 HDC in each HDC. 2SC in each DC. 2 HDC in each HDC. Join with a SlSt to top of turning chain. (6 SC, 12 HDC, 6 DC)

Round 3- Pulling (A) through to ch 1, [2SC in next DC, 1SC in next DC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next HDC] 3 times. [2DC in next SC, DCin next SC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next HDC] 3 times. Join with a SlSt to the 1st SC. (9 SC, 18 HDC, 9 DC)

Round 4- Pulling (B) through to ch 3, DC in same stitch. 1 DC in next 2 SC. [2DC in next SC. DC in next 2SC.] twice. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 2 HDC] 3 times. [2DC in next SC, DC in next 2 SC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 2 HDC] 3 times. Join with a SlSt to top of turning chain. (12 SC, 24 HDC, 12 DC)

Round 5-  Pulling (A) through to ch 1, [2SC in next DC, 1SC in next 3 DC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 3 HDC] 3 times. [2DC in next SC, DCin next 3 SC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 3 HDC] 3 times. Join with a SlSt to the 1st SC. (15 SC, 30 HDC, 15 DC)

Round 6- Pulling (B) through to ch 3, DC in same stitch. 1 DC in next 4 SC. [2DC in next SC. DC in next 4 SC.] twice. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 4 HDC] 3 times. [2DC in next SC, DC in next 4 SC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 4 HDC] 3 times. Join with a SlSt to top of turning chain. (18 SC, 36 HDC, 18 DC)

Round 7-  Pulling (A) through to ch 1, [2SC in next DC, 1SC in next 5 DC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 5 HDC] 3 times. [2DC in next SC, DCin next 5 SC] 3 times. [2HDC in next HDC, 1HDC in next 5 HDC] 3 times. Join with a SlSt to the 1st SC. (21 SC, 42 HDC, 21 DC)

Round 8- Pulling (B) through to ch 3, DC in each SC, HDC in each HDC, SC in each DC. Join with a sl st to top of turning chain.


Round 9- Pulling (A) through to ch 1, SC in each DC, HDC in each HDC, DC in each SC. Join with a sl st to top of 1st SC.

Round 10- Repeat round 8

Round 11-12- Switching to H hook, repeat round 8 and 9 once more each. FO (B) at end of Round 12.

(Medium only)
Round 13- Switching to G hook, repeat round 8 once more.

Round 14- Continuing with (A) and G hook, through both loops, HDC in each stich around. Join with SlSt and FO, weaving in ends.

(Large only)
Round 13- Repeat round 8 once more.


Round 14- Continuing with (A) and H hook, through both loops, HDC in each stich around. Join with SlSt and FO, weaving in ends.

  1. I believe there is a type-o in Rnd 2 - you join (B) with 3-ch and a DC in the same stitch and then 1-DC in each of the next 2 DC. Should this not read '1-DC in each of the next 2 SC'? Then, working around, various HDC in HDC stitches, SC in the DC stitches, HDC in the HDC again and SLST in the 3rd CH stitch.
